Bull and NetApp announce the opening of a new joint storage solution center in Grenoble France.
Centre of expertise and interaction, preparing organisations for the evolution of their storage infrastructures to the virtualised data center - foundation of cloud computing.
24, 2011 -
Bull and NetApp today inaugurate their new international storage solution center. Hosted in Bull's Customer Briefing Center (CBC) in the Grenoble technopole in the French Alps, the facility leverages NetApp's storage technologies and Bull's storage expertise delivered through their StoreWay storage integration organisation.
The StoreWay NetApp Solution Center showcases the latest in storage solutions through end-to-end storage infrastructures integrating application, server and storage components and addressing the needs of organisations to reduce cost, manage risk and improve service levels while maintaining operational flexibility.
The StoreWay activity is a part of Bull's newly-created Enterprise Server and Storage Group, and the focus of the Solution Center on virtualisation technologies including VMware and Citrix is a part of the group's strategy of delivering integrated business computing infrastructures for the virtualised data center - foundation of Cloud Computing.
Through technology briefings, workshops and live demonstrations, the StoreWay NetApp Solution Center addresses the major storage challenges faced by organisations today, covering topics including Desktop Virtualisation, Data Backup in Virtualised Environments and Hierarchical Storage Management of email and file data.
"This event is the culmination of six years of cooperation marked by mutual willingness to always offer our customers the opportunity to go further, faster. Bull is a partner with whom we share the same vision and values of commitment to our customers, "said Marc Montiel, General Director at NetApp France." The highly structured and industrialised approach of the StoreWay NetApp Solution Center in embedding our storage technologies in customer-realistic solutions goes way beyond the classic Demonstration Center and is unique in our partner ecosystem".
As a Star level Partner in the NetApp partner program since 2005, Bull is an Authorised Support Partner (ASP) and Authorised Professional Services Provider (APSP) in their principal European markets including France, Netherlands, Austria, Poland and the UK
