Bull UK and Ireland Appoints Andrew Carr to Transform Marketing and Go-to-Market Strategy

Bull has announced the appointment of Andrew Carr as its new sales and marketing director for the UK and Ireland. The move signals a bold new approach from Bull which will see the company refocus its whole approach to sales and marketing in the region.

Carr will develop an innovative go-to-market strategy for Bull and focus on ensuring the company meets its new growth objectives and business targets.

According to Dick Fens, chief executive, Bull UK and Ireland,"Andrew has extensive experience and expertise in outsourcing and managed services. He has a proven track record of acting as an agent for positive organisational change and in particular, of transforming the marketing function into a value-add, fully-integrated into the business.

"For all these reasons, I am confident that he is ideally suited to identifying, developing and executing our new go-to-market plan, enabling us to transition and transform the business while achieving the targets we have set," he adds.

Previously, Carr was executive sales director for ComputerLand UK PLC, responsible for developing its managed services and major account management propositions in addition to having overall responsibility for marketing and pre-sales. ComputerLand was acquired by The Capita Group in March 2008. Carr was made sales and marketing director for Outsourcing within Capita IT Services with responsibility for defining, externalising and marketing the Capita offering.

Carr subsequently joined Sungard Public Sector, successfully closing a number of contracts and re-shaping the go-to-market strategy . In total, he has more than 15 years experience within the IT industry, all spent in sales and marketing roles.
