Bull signs two contracts in the Middle East for its Shadow range of intelligent signal jamming devices to counter RCIEDs
18, 2013 -
At Milipol 2013 (the global homeland security exhibition), Bull, the leader in critical systems design, will announce the signing of two major contracts in the Middle East for its Shadow range of intelligent signal jammers, designed for anti-terrorist protection.
With these contracts, Bull has further strengthened its presence in the region - thanks to its cutting edge solutions - and is making a key contribution to the modernization and reinforcement of local armed forces. The innovative and reliable Shadow system for neutralizing radio-controlled improvised explosive devices (RCIEDs) is based on Bull's intelligent reactive signal jamming technology.
The Shadow range of products ensures the protection of convoys and extended areas on the ground, as well as providing remote jamming. Designed for use by armed forces, Shadow addresses homeland security needs. The range also includes a lightweight, portable signal jammer, Raid Shadow, aimed at Special Forces, mine clearance missions and the protection of small-scale areas such as checkpoints.
Integrated into vehicles, Shadow jammers protect passengers and critical zones against RCIEDs. Shadow also enables enemy communications to be identified and can be used to control radio communications.
Franck Greverie, Executive VP of Bull Security Solutions, commented: "With our Shadow range of intelligent jammers, Bull actively protects the lives of civilian and military personnel against terrorist threats and organized crime. Bull's anti-explosive protection solutions help our customers worldwide to accomplish their missions effectively and successfully."
